Hello Family!
Allow me to share an experience I had yesterday with a Jamaican healthcare professional, this was my second visit by her. She visited my home as part of a program where I receive $50 on my otc card annually for an in-home nurse visit.
She conducted the standard procedures, such as checking my blood pressure, pulse, and weight, and asked a few questions regarding my medication. Following this, she requested that I remove my shoes and stand against the wall. I complied, and then she produced a small device that click-clacked into a double yardstick. She then surmised I was 5′ 7 1/2″ tall
She tried explaining it by saying the space between the bones in your spine becomes compressed over time. I said that may happen to some people, but I am still 5’8″.
I told her I’m 5′ 8 1/2″; it’s on my driver’s license. This Jamaican kept saying I was 5 ft 7 and a half! I told her I’m not 5’7½”! I was never 5’7½”. I went straight from 5’7⅓” to 5’8″ in my second year of high school at Murray-Wright. Frank, remember how I used to block all your shots into the stands when I was just 5’8″! 🤣 So, at the end of the day, the nice Jamaican lady agreed to list me as 5’8″, but she stated this is the last year she will do this. Next year I will be 5’7″ 🙄😮💨

(My ball handling was good. I didn’t make the team because my shot was accurate but unorthodox: a two-hand push shot.)
So, as for our family, the Simpsons are taller than me. The Alabama and Ohio Williams are taller. Iota’s children are taller. Timothy, you may be the tallest in the family! Gino (Frank Henderson) and the Brays, you guys are going to have to take off your shoes and stand against a wall. 😅🤣😂
Frank I hate to say this but you may be the shortest. I am right behind you or should I say above you! 🤭

As for my immediate family Valerie and my oldest daughter Kimyada are both about 5’11’. All my grand sons are taller than me (except the 4 year old). Kim has Shawn at 5′ 9″, Sidney is 6’3″ and her baby Spencer 6′ at 17 years old playing ball at Cypress Lake High School in Fort Myers, Florida.

That was the end..
I am just sitting, thinking about how old people’s doctor visits include questions you would ask a toddler if they could talk.
Have you fallen in the last year? (One year I answered yes.)
Do you hold on to furniture when you walk around the house?
Do you have to push up with your hands to get up from a chair?
Are you able to dress and bath yourself?
Who prepares your food?
Do you get meals on wheels? (I would like this.)
